ABOUT BARBARA DENSON
Bringing Experience and
Integrity to Education
While working at an environmental firm, Barbara Denson took a deep dive into climate narratives—expecting solid data, but uncovering layers of distortion. Frustrated by how these misleading claims had taken hold, she set out to simplify the subject for others. That led to writing children’s books that explained climate science in clear, honest terms.
Through her public speaking and outreach, Barbara connected with a group of scientists and engineers who were also challenging this misinformation. They examined what was being taught in Texas classrooms—and what they found was alarming. Biased climate narratives weren’t just circulating in public discourse; they were embedded in state-approved science textbooks.
Appalled by the findings, the group pushed for legislative change. When that effort stalled, they turned to the State Board of Education, advocating for textbook reform and stronger standards rooted in fact.
Now, Barbara Denson is stepping into public life for the first time. She’s running to protect educational integrity and ensure Texas students are taught facts, not agendas. Because truth in the classroom isn’t optional—it’s foundational.
